The video tool has such fidelity that I can even see the size of the patient’s pupils or skin complexion.” Dr. Kalb has considerable experience in the academic environment, and is a practicing Intensivist. He is board-certified in Critical Care Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Internal Medicine. Prior to joining Advanced ICU Care, Dr. Kalb held several leadership positions at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Most recently, he was the Director of the Medical Intensive Care Unit and led the Medical Center’s Critical Care Committee. He has held several academic appointments at Mount Sinai for over two decades and has won numerous teaching awards as director of the Pulmonary Course and Chair of the Medical School Curriculum Committee. He is an Associate Professor and remains actively involved in research, with ongoing publications in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters. Dr. Kalb completed his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, as well as a Research Fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine, at Mount Sinai Medical Center-Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, New York. He received his medical degree from Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York and completed his residency at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein School of Medicine, Bronx, New York.
