Back to team Dr. David Nierman Regional Medical Director Contact “As the American population ages, what is currently an extreme national shortage of doctors trained in critical care medicine will grow to crisis proportions. Patients expect the highest level of care by critical care experts when they are critically ill or injured and require an intensive care unit. We are at the frontlines in bringing the highest quality critical care medicine at all times to the very sickest patients in hospitals across the country.” Dr. David Nierman is a practicing tele-intensivist who is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine. His career-long dedication to innovation and excellence in the practice of medicine is what drew him to Advanced ICU Care, where he has served as a Regional Medical Director since February, 2014. Dr. Nierman has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed medical journals, has contributed to a number of books, and continues to speak frequently about both critical care medicine and the business of medicine around the country. Prior to joining AICU, Dr. Nierman served for over seven years as Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Medical Affairs of Mount Sinai Queens, the Queens County campus of the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City.
